A few words about this piece:  This is by far my favorite Leo Kottke
piece. I fell in love with it when I first heard "6 & 12 String Guitar"
(the Armadillo album) some 20 years ago. For so many years I wanted
to learn it and it defeated me.  This version finally came together
about 2 years ago. It's based largely on the transcription in
"8 Songs" but I have modified it to fit more closely to the
recorded version on "6 & 12 String Guitar" -- evidently the
transcription in "8 Songs" is taken from a different recorded
version. Although the piece is in the key of A, on "6 & 12 String
Guitar" Kottke is tuned down so it sounds in the key of F#.
Finally, a standard disclaimer: any errors here are mine. I welcome
feedback from anyone about this transcription, especially any
corrections and/or additions.

Symbols:
   s = slide up (or down) to note
   h = hammer on note
   p = pull off note

The piece is played in the following sequence:

(Play Section A twice each time you come to it)


Intro: (I found it impossible to time this out. I guess it's basically
        an unmeasured prelude. You'll have to figure out the timing by
        listening.)
